Tournament Information

♟ Eligibility: Open to all K–12 students
♟ Entry Fee: $30 through March 21 | $40 after March 21
♟ Registration Deadline: March 27 at midnight
♟ Format: 5-round Swiss | G/25 with 5-second delay | US Chess rated
♟ Sections: Limited to 30 players per section, divided by grade and rating
♟ Team Awards: Top 4 scores combined per school

♟ US Chess Membership Required
Membership is required to participate. Discount and standard registration links are provided below.

Schedule (Approximate)

♟ Round 1 begins as close to 9:00 AM as possible – please arrive early
♟ Lunch around 11:30 AM (after Round 2)
♟ Final round around 3:00 PM
♟ Awards ceremony concludes around 5:00 PM

♟ Concession stand available
♟ Pizza available for purchase at lunch

What to Expect

♟ All players may compete in 5 rounds (non-elimination format)
♟ Players are expected to know tournament rules (see link below)
♟ Boards, pieces, and clocks are provided
♟ Bring notation sheets and pencils
♟ Parents may escort players in and take photos before rounds begin
♟ No parents allowed in playing area once rounds start
