After a short break (yes, COVID finally caught up with me!), I'm excited to be back in action and slowly settling into a productive rhythm again. Getting back into the groove after being sick can be tough, but nothing helps more than the excitement of a new season of chess.
Our Back to School Chess Camp kicks off next week, and it’s shaping up to be a fun, energetic, and educational way for students to jump-start the school year. We'll have great coaches, exciting puzzles, and a friendly tournament to end the week.
Looking ahead, our Fall Group Lessons will begin soon in Katy, Sugar Land, and several other locations. Registration forms for most locations will go live by Sunday night, so stay tuned and be ready to sign up!
🎉 Special Offer: If you refer a friend to one of our fall programs, both you and your friend will receive $65 off your tuition when you use the discount code FRIEND65 at checkout.
To keep your skills sharp in the meantime, I highly recommend the Lichess Puzzle of the Day. The August 1st puzzle was a fun challenge that reminded me how helpful it is to always begin with checks and captures when calculating. You can give it a try here:🔗 https://lichess.org/training/daily

Thanks for being part of the Foundation Chess community—and I can’t wait to see many of you back over the board soon!
