Intro

Join us for a focused 3 day morning chess camp in the Elyson community of North Katy.

This camp is a great option for families in North Katy and nearby areas such as Cypress, The Woodlands, and Kingwood who are looking for a shorter summer chess camp experience without committing to a full week or full day schedule.

Whether your child is brand new to chess or already playing competitively, this camp is designed to challenge, engage, and inspire. Students are grouped by skill level so each camper gets the

right balance of instruction, practice, and growth.
 

What Students Experience

 

Expert Coaching
Students learn from experienced Foundation Chess coaches who make lessons clear, engaging, and appropriate for each player’s level.

 

Structured Skill Development
Campers work on key chess skills including openings, tactics, strategy, checkmates, and endgames through focused lessons and guided practice.

 

Guided Games & Real Improvement
Students play supervised games with coach feedback, helping them understand their decisions and improve with each round.

 

Puzzles, Challenges & Practice Games
The morning format keeps the camp focused and energetic, with chess puzzles, mini challenges, and plenty of over the board play.
 

Closing

A focused 3 day chess camp where students can build confidence, sharpen their thinking, and enjoy chess in a supportive community setting.
